What transforms you?

Have you ever struggled with something in your life and instead of continuing to dwell on the issue, you went for a walk or danced around your living room? Did you find that you became clearer of mind and more optimistic about your situation?
​
Over the years movement has been my go to when I needed help to learn, create, connect with others and most importantly, in getting to know myself. It has been my medicine on many levels, and yet, it was not until I was an adult looking back at my life that I came to understand this.
I am looking forward to moving with you and embarking on a joyful and curious journey of Nia dancing, Yoga, and Brain Gym.

Nia Technique Classes 2025 In-person and Online!

New Session of Nia with Janet starts Wednesday February 12th, 2025
The Nia Technique is a fun, low-impact fitness class that can enhance mobility, and improve overall well-being. One of the best ways to improve many aspects of our physical, and mental health as we age is DANCING. Nia is a combination of dance, martial arts and healing arts that focuses on the mind-body connection. It is adaptable to all fitness levels and ages, and does not require any previous dance experience.
Come wearing comfy clothes and bare feet or a soft, non-slip shoe.

Wednesdays 8:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.

Pricing - In studio Nia classes are $15 for a drop-in class.

10:30 - 11:30 a.m.
A Nia class experience, gently moving our magical bodies, bringing a feeling of aliveness that only dance and music can bring.
We complete our class with a focus on Yoga and Brain Gym movements to feel more integrated, balanced, strong and Joyful.

Hatha yoga is a practice of yoga that focuses on our breath, awareness and asanas or poses, that are held for extended periods of time.
Yoga is more than a movement practice however, it is a lifelong path of learning about oneself. Yoga has been a source of strength for me in difficult times, and has kept my body feeling strong yet flexible.

My Yoga Classes

I enjoy breaking down yoga postures into small manageable steps and building the postures from the ground up. As I learn more about this beautiful practice of yoga I am more inspired to share the gifts that have been so healing to me. My yoga practice has deepened my connection to my body and my spirit which has been extremely helpful these past couple of years.
